Q. What is considered a special?

A. Any tool that is made for a particular job, for example a 'G'
drill is made special for drilling aluminium with straight
polished flutes that move chips away from the cutting edge
without welding the material to the tool.   Tools can be also
made with heavy duty construction, any length, shape or
size to solve a machining problem or save time and money.

Q.  Can using a special improve my productivity?

A.  Yes, using specials can improve productivity by
combining two or more operations into one, saving you time
and money.

Q.  Is there a list of specials?

A.  Yes, the products key has a list with some examples of
what we make.

Q.  Will you make a special based on a vague description
of an application?

A. Yes, the engineering dept is quite capable of working
with minimal information.

Q. If I have a machining problem, is a special tool a way of
solving a problem?

A. Yes, we have drawers full of solved problems.  Special
tools can be made with polished flutes or special
geometries to help a tool cut better, increase chip flow or
stop a tool from breaking.
